Clover Kayne - Mezzo Soprano #quickfirequestions

We subjected our soloist, Clover Kayne - Mezzo Soprano to some #quickfirequestions.....

'Tea or coffee?’ Coffee. A flat white is the way to my heart.

‘Favourite biscuit?’ Probably those Fox’s round ones that have a hole in the middle and are covered in chocolate.

‘Dogs or cats?’ I feel I should say cats because I have a cat called Pomme… but I’ve always wanted a Welsh Terrier.

Can I say I love both equally?

‘Warm weather or cold weather?’ I love a cold, wintry day when the sun’s out.

‘Mountains or beaches?’ Beaches.

‘What’s on your music stand right now?’ The Seven Deadly Sins!

‘Desert Island disc?' Graceland by Paul Simon is my favourite album, and if I had to pick one song, it’d have to be “You Can Call Me Al”.

'Last film you watched?' Bohemian Rhapsody.

'Musical experience you're most proud of?' Every performance feels like its own unique achievement, especially now we have audiences back!

'Favourite thing to sing?' Last year I played Hänsel in Humperdink’s opera ‘Hänsel und Gretel’ for the first time and I don’t think I could ever get bored of the music or singing the role…

'Musical hero?' Anne Sofie von Otter. I love how she mixes up classical repertoire with more contemporary songs on her albums.
